A RELAXED BOHO WEDDING ON THE RIVER
Hampshire Wedding Photographer
I literally could not wait to share this wedding with you because I am completely in love with these two! They have been confronted with such obstacles in life and difficulties to over come and they take them on, head on! And their love just seems to be strengthened by it all. They have such a sense of fun about them (and a little mischief!) and I fully intend on taking up Ian’s offer to go and photograph rally cars and trail bikers as it’s something I’ve never played with before and we’ll definitely be going for drinks because I have so much love and respect for these two humans!
Their wedding day began at Heather’s parents house in the beautiful surrounds of Micheldever. The atmosphere was relaxed but, as always, there was the air of nervous anticipation. The day was set to be another sticky one as the guests arrived at Winchester Registry Office in the heat of the sun. The Basing room is a stunning setting for an intimate wedding and the steps outside the civil offices are great for the family photos. Not least because they offered the party a little shade!
After a few giggles in the ceremony and lots of lovely moments of congratulations during the photos, the couple and their bridal party clambered into a fabulous vintage bus, with a story. It actually went to war as a troop carrier in WW2 and on it’s return was used to transport prisoners, but eventually found a happier life in weddings after being painted and fully restored!
We arrived at the reception at East Lodge, not a commonly used venue for weddings as it’s privately owned. The gorgeous marquee was absolute serenity! Surrounded with hay bales and adorned in brightly coloured flowers, resting alongside the gently flowing and crystal clear river! This was eye candy for photographers!!!!
Anyway I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking..
